I think the whole of the world needs to trace where the American experiment fell apart & make a conscious effort not to automatically dismiss consolidation of wealth as a factor, or mistake our hyperwealthy as being corrupted where their own are benevolent or fair. We need to rethink what wealth is.

My belief as an American is that every powerful person in this current moment who has facilitated the widespread disruption and harm we're witnessing should be held accountable for what they've done. Any opposition leader who wants to go easy on their pals across the aisle should find new work.

What bullies assume to be the result of their own strength, their own forcefulness and their own cunning is always a result of the community around them showing the patience and restraint not to escalate a confrontation into something more disruptive. They always learn this once that patience ends.

I think strong cinematography makes a huge difference in a comic page. Establishing a consistent background gives the camera a trackable position in space, and the change in its position from panel to panel can convey a layer of mood and atmosphere behind a gestural expression and a word balloon.

Once you're over that line you can just do whatever, and only unreasonable people cause a fuss.

Today I went to an antique book store and copped a pair of architectural lithographs from 1860's Paris. I'm gonna get them matted and framed, as a little treat to myself. I studied the lineart and learned some technique by observing how the artist rendered their lines.

If I was a musician I'd use math to try and compose songs in the pitch range that only dogs can hear. Like Beethoven before me I would try to create a pleasing composition that appeared to bring them joy.
