Energy costs are already too high — that’s why I filed a bill to save people $13 billion on their energy bills. The last thing we need the Trump Administration blocking offshore wind projects already powering Massachusetts homes and businesses. It doesn’t make any sense.

The Trump Administration just dropped a lump of dirty coal on American families, workers, and businesses. Halting offshore wind projects that are nearly finished makes no sense. It’s an attack on affordable, reliable American energy and the good jobs it creates.

In-law suites, granny flats, backyard cottages – whatever you call them, you can now build ADUs without special permits. In the first half of 2025, homeowners filed almost 1K applications. We're making it easier and cheaper to build housing that works for your family.

My statement on the Trump Administration’s stop work order for Vineyard Wind.

Vineyard Wind has powered homes and businesses—and thousands of jobs—for a year.  Stopping construction days before Christmas, in the dead of winter, is reckless and dangerous. We're in touch with other states and doing everything we can to finish these projects.

Every child deserves something special to open up during the holidays 🎁 This year, the team at the Governor’s Office collected gifts for kids and teens connected with the Department of Children and Families, donated to the Leominster and Fall River offices.

We know what happens when antisemitism goes unchecked. We've seen it from history. We saw it this past weekend in Australia.  In Massachusetts, we stand firmly with our Jewish community. We will call out antisemitism wherever it appears, and we will not tolerate it — ever.

More students are taking on AP courses—and succeeding. That’s the result of hard work, dedicated teachers and smart investments in education.    Over three years, we’ve helped students take more than 90K AP exams — opening doors to colleges, careers, and futures they want.

Flying people out of state — away from their lawyers and loved ones — is cruel and denies them their day in court. This is not justice. It’s not who we are in Massachusetts, and it’s not who we are as Americans. It must stop.

Massachusetts is a state that takes pride in our military history. We’re the birthplace of the Coast Guard, Navy, Marines, some even clain the Army. And of course - we’re where National Guard got their start 389 years ago today. Happy birthday, National Guard!

More than 300K people in Massachusetts will see their health care premiums double or triple up to $25,000 because Donald Trump and Senate Republicans can’t get their act together. This is ridiculous. Just do your job and extend the credits.

Since 1991, the hepatitis B vaccine has cut pediatric infections by 99%. It’s safe and it works — saying otherwise puts our children in danger. Here in Massachusetts, our Department of Public Health is led by a doctor, guided by science, and still strongly recommends hep B shots for newborns.

Transit workers keep us safe on the roads and rails. They deserve to be safe on the job.  Today, I signed a bill to strengthen protections for the @mbta.com and regional transit employees — and to send a clear message: we’ve got your back.

President Trump held up heating assistance until December — leaving families out in the cold for a month. In Massachusetts, we protected families from shutoffs and kept the heat on. HEAP funds are finally flowing again, and we’re moving fast to get help out the door.

Massachusetts is America’s #1 state for women. And we plan on keeping it that way. At a moment that demands courage and action, the women at the Mass Conference for Women aren't stepping back. They're leaning in and leading — and so is our state.

For the next two days, RFK’s handpicked advisory committee will meet in DC to debate childhood vaccines. And let's be real — we can’t trust them to choose evidence over ideology. In Massachusetts, science still matters. The health of our children matters. And it always will.

Students in every state are struggling right now — and too often, the response is to lower expectations. But in Massachusetts, we’re working with teachers, school leaders, and parents on a new framework for graduates that makes our first-in-the-nation public education stronger.

Once again, the Trump Administration is playing politics with people’s food. It's cruel — plain and simple. Working families with kids, seniors and folks with disabilities need to eat. President Trump should order the release of SNAP funding immediately.
