President Trump’s cruelty knows no bounds. Our scheduled SNAP payment went out this morning, so families who missed earlier payments should now have funds available on their cards ready to buy food. We’re reviewing what the latest court ruling means for those expecting benefits next week.

On Saturday, @massltgovernor.bsky.social and I visited The Salem Pantry as they prepared for a busy morning feeding families who lost their SNAP benefits. In Massachusetts, we take care of one another. I’m so thankful for every volunteer and food pantry stepping up for their neighbors.

Millions of Americans woke up on November 1 without the SNAP benefits they need to feed their families. The people of Massachusetts are stepping up, but no state can fix this alone. President Trump needs to release the funds to keep SNAP going — now.

I've been talking directly to local police departments about what’s working, what they need, and their work with the Mass State Police through Commonwealth Project Safe Neighborhood.  Strong partnerships between state and local law enforcement are the foundation of safe communities.

Donald Trump is weaponizing the shutdown against our schools. Firing educators means kids will lose the mental health care, tutoring, and special education they need. The White House needs to end this shut down and reverse this decision immediately.

We've all been there — opening your energy bill and wondering, "What am I even paying for?" It's outrageous. I'm calling on regulators to launch a line-by-line review of the charges on your bills. Every dollar has to be justified. Just like you have to do with your own budget.

Anyone who pays their energy bill has probably noticed charges on charges — and for what?   As winter approaches, I’m calling on the Department of Public Utilities to do a top-to-bottom review and make sure every dollar benefits you.

Energy bills were way too high last year. That’s why we acted fast to save customers $220M — and filed legislation to save another $13B.    As winter approaches, the Department of Public Utilities needs to push back on utilities and stop rate hikes before they hit.

Today, I sent a letter to the Department of Public Utilities, calling on them to launch a first-of-its-kind review of every charge on your gas and electric bills.    Every dollar should be justified.    If it's not benefitting you, it shouldn't be there.
