I am so sad to read this. Prof Pacheco-Vega used social media to model and mentor, on how to be a researcher and how to be a human in academia. I added parts of his blog to my research class syllabus just last term. Descanse en paz, Profe.

The passing of Dr Raúl Pacheco-Vega is absolutely heartbreaking and sudden news. He was such an active and vocal member of the academic and queer community online. He championed early career educators and early career researchers, and supported and encouraged so many people. A tremendous loss.
