I don't think we tell people often enough what they mean to us, perhaps because we are simply caught up in everyday life or maybe for fear of being misinterpreted and making someone uncomfortable. Valid concerns, but also life is short and vulnerability can often catalyze greater connection.

My potentially spicy take is that the "we need shorter games that look worse" is absolutely fine and dandy, but sometimes I *do* want to play a 100-hour cinematic blockbuster game. I just want the studio to be unionized, the out-of-touch suits in charge gone, and not a lick of genAI in the game.
