Your local librarian here to say that it’s great if you read lots of books this year, alright if you read barely anything, that audiobooks, romance and graphic novels are all valid formats and genres, and that some authors suck but we’re still not stopping you from reading them.

My Goodreads number is about 205 this year. This was a short novel heavy year, so I was able to inhale a lot of <200 page books. But I made active choices to read instead of doomscrolling. Not playing as many video games. Mood reading 3 books at once on multiple devices. But that’s ME.
