There is currently no cost to right-wing violence, whether under banner of law or not. We should have the ability to point to a potential cost if they continue to escalate. Sure, one person armed with a gun can't beat the federal death squads. But millions with guns? Be realistic.

It's not about whether one armed person can keep their family safe (it can't), or one armed person on the left being able to murder like those on the right do without consequence. It's about doing something peaceful protests and congressional maneuvering haven't done: attaching cost to violence.

This is pathetic. I fully support anyone who goes out to peacefully protest, and for those that do, definitely best to not bring a gun. But to tell people not to have it because "the law doesn't apply to you the same way" is simpering cowardice.
