E. Kane is still playing the the NHL and some of the stories about him are even worse than the HC case. It takes a certain level of human to be a professional athlete and a win at any/all cost approach seems to be the attitude favored.

I give the Canes credit for openly speaking about it. Granted it’s not a good sign about the team signing them cause they aren’t dismissing it-but that they didn’t just shoe off Lazerus is good on them.

The KK/Svech/Nadeau line arguably has been the best one tonight. KK has one of the goals and they have been dominant when out there,

The only thing about the Ehlers-Aho-Jarvis line that'll be tough to watch is...they all have a jersey number in the 20's. From higher up kinda tough to tell who is who.

Second Unit has a chance--good entry but rough communications and the power play unit falls to 0-4 tonight. Top line has a gorgeous entry and pass but Tarasov makes two strong saves.

He's only faced five shots so far so it feels like it's needed so he can actually get some game action. 29-5 shots right now

Meanwhile Freddie sees a little more action on that PK and makes a couple good stops. Ice keeps getting tilted to the Canes end when it's 5-on-5 but those two penalties made it a little choppy.

Good to see/hear they have Big Mike roaming around with the horn. Giving the fans a feel of a regular season game.

Canes looked they were the ones on the Power Play and Robinson gets his shot stoned as he flies out of the box. Lots of good stuff, just not goinng in, and now out of the timeout the Canes are back on the PK as Heimosalmi gets called for boarding.

One look at these rosters and it'll be a shock if the Canes don't win tonight-which is fine. I'm sure it'll be the opposite next week when the Canes head to Florida...Still, the "give a eff" meter for the guys is seemingly higher tonight than Monday
