Well this is pretty cool! I decided to wing it getting a modern Viewsonic monitor, based on feedback from others, that might do 15khz natively. And it works! Simple passive VGA adapter and it takes the signal no problem. Image adjustment options are great too. All for under 100 bucks!

Omaha: I know I sound like a shill but the First Alert 6 Weather WOWT app is really good for local weather. I only recently learned about it but it's weather-only so no news bloat, decent UI, some ads but not terrible, and you get all the weather info you need to know at a glance.

So @serwewx.bsky.social I got the FA6 wx app and imo it’s the best Omaha wx app by a mile. I love that it’s decoupled from the news, that’s HUGE. Finally have something I can tell people to get when they ask what to use instead of their phone’s default weather app. Wish I had known about it sooner 🤦‍♀️
