A little fog and low clouds Wednesday morning. When the sun comes out in the afternoon, temperatures jump into the mid and upper 30s in the Twin Cities. Our next chance of snow: Saturday. Light snow and gusty winds at this point.

Today's 0.69" of liquid precip at MSP is the 13th wettest January day on record for the Twin Cities. Today is also the only* day on this list that was ALL rain! (* there are no snow or temp records from 1871, only precip)

Today’s ice did cause some slippery spots around the metro. The next chance for ice is more boom/bust. There’s more moisture, and temperatures hovering right around freezing Monday evening through early Tuesday. A degree or two is the difference between wet roads and skating rinks.
