This is not funny. In fact, it's disgusting behavior. However, Cucurella drifting off in the background unbothered and curls blowing in the breeze like he's Carrie from Sex and the City is sending me.

Action heroes, men AND women, should look like what they do. Namor should have a swimmer's build. Wolverine should look like he does shotput all day. Spider-Man should look like a gymnast. Luke should look like a heavyweight boxer.

Oooh, I'm about to go off on a tangent because the quoted post brings up something that is super interesting about superheroes, artists, men, and women. Male action heroes DO look like bodybuilders now. And they shouldn't. They should look like professional athletes.

9. That is why, to those who understand the stakes, comments like Acton's likely read as a cancer on the party. And a candidate willing to throw transgender people under the bus to win has seemingly told every other minority exactly what their protection is worth when the polling gets tight.

8. As long as trans people have an opposition party standing in unity against anti-trans policies, every ban, remains reversible. But if enough Dems see transphobia as acceptable, then trans rights could be eroded for a generation, with no mechanism left to reverse the losses, similar to UK Labour.

5. The news threatens to rock the party further, because the scandal is no longer just about the candidate. Acton called transgender girls "boys" and endorsed a sports ban; the party responded by disciplining the people who objected.

Something I talked about repeatedly in 2024: 20 million people, to say nothing of 30, would be the largest forced population transfer in human history, larger any of the three post-WW2 transfers (partition of India, expulsion of Germans, partition of Palestine) or the post-WW1 Balkan cases.
