Just worked out that from next year I’ll be earning about just £5k above minimum wage, despite having a BA and MA and working in a relatively high skilled job that is adjacent to the UK Civil Service. Both my pay rises from the last two years were below inflation too 🙃

So far this year I’ve paid a total of £474 towards my Plan 2 undergraduate student loan and my postgraduate student loan. I owe £98,305. Meanwhile, interest of £2,453 has been added. I don’t mind paying it, as the amounts are tiny - but how is this sustainable mass scale for the government? 🤣
