One of the cool things about being queer is that in the theatre of life you get to perform on stage but also see behind the scenes... You know the props are cardboard and the explosions are fake! When people make grand assertions about sex and gender you know it's all a show.

Israel's cheerleaders should just be honest. They want to criminalise all speech condemning Israel's behaviour. They want Israel to be able to slaughter as many Palestinians as it wants, and for it to be a criminal offence to oppose that. That's their actual intentions!

Why is the far right triumphing across the West? Because ordinary citizens are told they're trapped in a zero-sum game - competing with migrants for scarce resources. This is a lie. A failed economic order is to blame:

Anyone can become disabled. Anyone can become chronically ill. Itâs not a choice. Itâs not a moral failing. Itâs not something you can âtry harderâ your way out of. You can be the healthiest person in the world & completely disabled in an instant. Itâs a minority group you can join anytime.

Actually, money alone WILL fix the NHS. Specifically, money to recruit/retain a full workforce and money to build/maintain buildings and equipment. Expecting productivity gains without enough workers and/or adequate capital investment is idiotic.

What possible justification can there be for yet again freezing income tax thresholds rather than raising the level of income tax on the rich, let alone for doing this rather than properly taxing wealth, property ownership included? It is straightforwardly wicked.
