Trump’s White House has a webpage about January 6, 2021. Its distorted narrative is filled with lies and falsely claims: “In truth, it was the Democrats who staged the real insurrection by certifying a fraud-ridden election, ignoring widespread irregularities, and weaponizing federal agencies…”

One of the most disturbing aspects of this webpage isn’t just the lies. It’s the fact that it is very well produced. It’s a rewriting of history done using technological tools to make it slick, accessible, and—if you didn’t witness real time events or don’t know the actual history—quite compelling.
