Most of us did not choose to write or draw or design so that we could put products on the shelf. We chose to do it because it’s a set of skills we enjoy exercising, that give us fulfillment. It’s like asking a pro pitcher to just let a machine pitch for them. Fuck off and give me the ball.

Keep thinking about this term "pre-digested" that Kojima used to describe art that's instantly gratifying. And how it's better when people grow to love something instead. I've gravitated, as player and designer, toward the latter, but that term "pre-digested" is new and feels very strong.

I just like a show that's aware of the absurdity of it's own premise but it's constantly running around with a bullhorn reminding you of that fact every 30 seconds.

Ha Ha You Clowns is such a good show that I feel is hard to pitch to others. The writing is smart and fun thats very much winking and nodding to the audience a little, but doesnt overplay its hand.
