Every time I watch The Shining, I'm sadder and sadder about it's continuing relevance. So many in this country view themselves as caretakers and of a legacy that ultimately drives a wedge between them and their families and anyone they view as needing to be "corrected."

I see people my age already falling into moral panics about the youth and then I actually meet young people and they're largely the same as they ever were. We have to chill.
