i would LOVE a user-submitted alt text feature, similar to community notes on twitter, but where users submit alt text on a post for the OP to personally approve. the submitting user would get credited for the text and OP wouldn't have to reveal their own POV (important to me). win-win to me!!

anyway i don't mean to downplay the meaningfulness of 500 nor the comic i chose for it. it's pretty explicitly meaningful and in a way more obvious than usual, people in the comments are already picking up on it, im sure you can get the implications etc. im happy to be here i did it yay

i do try to make the milestone numbers meaningful in some way but i would like to dispel the idea that every milestone comic is some huge implication of SOMEONE DIES or THIS IS IT!!!! because structuring a story around the big stuff hitting on round numbers would not really suit my writing style
