Kinda love The Wrecking Crew, not gonna lie. Pretty much exactly what I wanted from the concept. I'd happily watch one of these every couple of years, no worries.

Of course it's silly, and silliness is baked into most popular sci-fi. There's nothing wrong with that. But you can cite all the deep themes and emotional complexity you like, it's still rubber forehead aliens and technobabble and if it wasn't, it wouldn't have an audience.
