I strongly support the sales tax increase to fund HCMC. We can't let our safety net hospital close. But I am intensely opposed to the $7 million per year that SF 4986 would also give to the Twins Stadium. It's a major expansion of corporate welfare. The Pohlads should pay for it!

I just used the “return ticket to waitlist” feature on Dice for a show I can’t make it to at Cloudland. It’s such a better experience than AXS or Ticketmaster! I got a refund, someone who can go got tickets at face value, no scalping or profiteering. Every venue should move to this model.

That was an absolute all-time great show. I had never seen Springsteen before (except the one song at No Kings). Cathartic, energizing, relentless fun. Morello is a mad genius.

Between NoKings in St Paul and the Suicide Commandos reunion show with all their special guests, this was a very long day of artists I really like coming on stage with others to just do one or two songs.

So Whipple roads get to be as blocked off as the Feds and HennCo sheriff want to protect evil, but Frey/MPD say neighbors don’t get to do partial blocks of roads at all to prevent evil. Cool.

Hospitality Minnesota members are choosing to house ICE agents for money and prolong the occupation that is harming their whole industry. They have so much more power in this situation than they’re leveraging. Nobody wants to risk staying in the same hotel as masked, armed kidnappers.

The City should be taking the lead here: - Allow multi-day block party permits and waive fees - Install emergency traffic calming yourselves - Work with the County to do it on county roads too - Connect PW staff or nonviolent safety orgs with RR efforts, so we can have trained marshals in busy areas

I’ve been to plenty of DFL conventions. My preferred scenario is that tonight I can use my vote to elect enthusiastic newcomers to represent me as delegates in an “uncommitted - abolish ICE” subcaucus and I don’t personally have to go to any more meetings.
