I think the targeting of scientific advisory boards—vaccine panel, the NCI scientific board, etc—is instructive. my concern about equity in academic science gives me a slightly different frame for the weaponization of metascience reforms: I think they are weaponizing these attempts at reform to undermine LOTS of expertise, including the expertise that many had or developed to increase equity (aka DEI)
