I was boarding a Southwest flight home. This guy started shouting at me “THAT NEEDS TO BE BEHIND YOU!!!” and points to my backpack. I said “Sorry, I didn’t realize.” He got even angrier and louder. My coworker was behind me. She said it barely grazed him and the other passengers were shocked too.

I rejoined @scbwi.bsky.social after way too many years away. My first experiences as a writer was actually for kids and I loved it and the organization. I’m finishing a middle grade fantasy that is so much fun. Glad to be back!

I had a chill day yesterday. No anxiety, no stress. Just me and my sons playing games and having fun. Visited my great aunt and bestie cousin and smiled with them. This is the type of holiday I always wanted. It is so OK to make your own tradition that brings personal peace.

I use my neighborhood library all the time! My favorite that I’ve visited and used is the Library of Congress.

Once again I've lost that darn Elf on the Shelf.
