Book 53 of 2025: Vermont Female Farmers by JuanCarlos González. This is a gorgeous photography book that showcases Vermont’s farm women and their stories. The photography is beautiful and it paints a picture of the connection these women have with the land.

Well, this is depressing af. I will always have fond memories of grabbing the latest dragonlance, forgotten realms, dark sun, spelljammer, etc. They were almost always mass market paperbacks. So portable. So loved. So deeply missed. Don't get old. They just take away the things you love.

When I started reading fantasy books as a young teen ('80s) I almost never got them from a bookstore. When I'd go grocery shopping with my mom, we'd stop by the magazines & books where she'd get a new book, get one for my dad, & I got to pick one out, all for ~$10. Discovered so many books that way.

The worst part - THE ABSOLUTE WORST PART - of making a comic book movie is that 95% of every story about the project, both before & after, will be some mix of hearsay, an out of context half sentence, or straight up clickbait horseshit. You can see them deliberately put everything on the mantle for finale, which some may find too obvious, but we forget how many shows fall down on the basics
