I just wanted to say I really appreciate all the kind comments. I am usually very protective of my personal life, my emotions, and don't share much by default, but the past week has been so draining. What happened today with the kitten just opened the flood gates and I couldn't keep it in anymore.

I tried to save a kitten in traffic on my way home. I saw it scared and trying to avoid cars. I pulled over and ran into the road to stop the cars and another one hit him. I took him off the road and sat with it on the grass and tried to comfort it. Put it in a blanket. It died on my way to a vet.
