Truly a mystery

I worked briefly with someone who has Tourette's and it is a god awful thing to live with and they very definitely say things that they don't mean. They often are contradictory within a sentence because it is not something they control.

I feel there were reasonable accommodations that could have been made to alleviate this situation. But, unfortunately the show decided to expose both the person with disabilities and Black people to abuse. Nobody won here. The choice harmed both disabled people and Black people.

There are many ignorant takes on Tourette Syndrome on the internet due to the BAFTA clip. Many things can be true: 1) What was said was horrible & racist 2) BAFTA should have handled it better & warned audience & presenters 3) Also most Tourette sufferers involuntarily say things they dont mean
