I had a hard time getting into One Battle After Another (2025), partly because there were no characters i liked, or was even invested in. By the end of act one however, I was fully on board. The best film adaptation of Thomas Pynchon s so far. 9/10

I will probably never watch Hamnet (2025) despite loving Jessie Buckley and William Shakespeare. It looks boring and pretentious.

Sinners (2025) was good, but not great. After the vampires took over the story, it got kind of weak except for the music video sequences. 7/10.

We all know how Trump’s Iran War ends. With the military doing what they were ordered to do very well, Trump failing to achieve what he promised, costing taxpayers a fortune, America’s standing in the world diminished, higher gas prices & inflation, with Trump declaring victory.

I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad. There’s not.
