I have said this before. If you don't have a track record of writing or acting against antisemitism, you're not in a position to write about "the weaponisation of antisemitism".

"Zionists" critique Israel all the time. Normal liberals critique Israel. Critique implies a change in actions would change the assessment. The people insisting any critique of Israel is labeled antisemitism aren't people who think Israel should change its conduct - they think it shouldn't exist.

“Uttering, promoting, and in some cases even tolerating anti-Israel rhetoric that crosses the line into anti-Semitism does double damage,” @ibishblog.bsky.social argues: both fueling violent attacks and tarring the pro-Palestinian movement.

The reality is that, more often than not, this perception of Jews being (over-)protected is not grounded in reality; it is itself the product of antisemitic stereotypes of Jewish hyperpower. And because it isn't grounded in reality, there's no way to undermine it other than asking Jews to lose.

Claims that Palestinians are "fake" or a made up people, or that they can go back to any other Arab country should be understood for the anti-Palestinian racism that it is. The same goes for this hateful anti-Jewish drivel. Except only one of these views is tolerated and even celebrated on the left.
