While the ceasefire appears to be holding, it’s not clear that enough humanitarian assistance is getting to those in desperate need, and we know the devastation to be addressed in Gaza is generational. American aid must reach civilians without delay and requires real oversight.

Nearly a month after the ceasefire in Gaza, civilians are still desperate for food, water and medicine. We commend Rep. Gabe Amo and 125 House Democrats for urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to ensure lifesaving aid reaches Palestinians in need. Humanitarian aid is a moral obligation.
