I don't know what to do with this. The signatories have had different (if any; if still living) interpretations of subsequent events. There have been open letters about all sorts of things, I don't know who's signed which. Who is being held accountable here?

I have a different view than many but not all on here about how Trump happened. I am therefore worse than Nazism.

The Harpers Letter was good actually. And many of its signers have been outspoken in denouncing Trump's abuses. (Many have not!)

I know and like David Schraub, these points however I find quite frustrating. If I am a public intellectual with a platform, or just an American, whichever, my moral obligation is to denounce what *Trump* and his administration are up to, not to offer one-by-one public statements on a 'set.'
