While the light is still bold and dreaming of coming summer, let us braid our hands and walk the gentle paths of the dead. Let us tread where the shades are polite. Let us have a picnic tea among tender whispers and become the gossip of boneyard for days to come. –

Unearthing a 50-year-old box of iconic chocolates
To mark its centenary in 2025, the granddaughter of baker Ernest Adams, Sarah, displayed a "treasure" at the Christchurch factory: a 1970s box of Queen Anne chocolates with the original treats inside.

This is Molly. She was finally found a week after her human fell down a 180-foot waterfall while hiking together in New Zealand. Her human was badly injured and rescued by helicopter, but Molly was missing. A week later, Molly was found at the base of the waterfall and reunited with her human. 14/10

Sometimes you don't have to search for an answer as to why certain doorways are sealed. Instinctually you know. It's to stop something terrible getting out. When you run your hands across them you can feel invisible lines of warding. Sigils set in the stone. – Vicky Pender

146 workers died in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire on this day in 1911. The bosses responsible were never held accountable for the awful working conditions that sparked the blaze. Remember this today as politicians and their corporate backers attack workplace safety.

I am convinced that the pandemic will lead to 2 paradigm shifts. The first, as described in this article, is a reconceptualisation of pathogens as not just common causes of acute illness, but also common causes of chronic illness. The second will be the end of droplet dogma

Some scientists have blamed the haunting of the Ashcourt Docks foot tunnel on infrasound. Vibrations causing visual distortions, auditory phenomena. This is of little comfort for those engulfed by dread when walking it – especially if they remember those scientists blame everything on infrasound.
