It is our first #Christmas in 16 years without our dear Winston, and it is just not the same. So many great memories though - like Winston removing any ornaments from the lower third of the tree (during his puppyhood days) and, given the opportunity, opening all presents with gusto (all 15 years).

On southern #VancouverIsland the sun sets at 4:18 p.m. today, but by the end of December it will be 4:28 p.m. A good start! The sun will set at 9:19 p.m. on June 21st!

Nearly 200 aftershocks (M2.5-5.8) within 30 hours of yesterday’s M7 earthquake in Yukon. Had this occurred in a densely populated region, all/most of these aftershocks would have been felt, with some large enough to cause additional damage. A lot will be learned from this earthquake sequence. ⚒️🧪

Today's shallow M7 #earthquake near the Yukon-Alaska border has produced more than 60 #aftershocks (some as large as M5.1) during the first 5 hours.
