I don’t know why this is so hard for people but people you have to repeatedly call and beg to ask them to oppose murder in the streets will never really be on your side

one thing "normies" are realizing via ICEwatch chats is that there is a ton of diff law enforcement & they are ALWAYS fucking outside. constant "is this ICE?" nope those are the housing cops, DEA, national guard for the subway. oh those are just the undercovers that hang by the school. etc. etc.

This is not a massive decision or any kind of change. Costco has never carried mifepristone in its pharmacies. An anti-abortion group is taking credit for something that didn't happen, possibly to generate disingenuous left-wing ire against one of the few corporations that hasn't gone MAGA.

Last year, I had a silly dream that the first Friday in August was a holiday (specifically in Philly) called INVISIBLE FRIDAY where we just listened to "Invisible Touch" by Genesis a lot. Happy Invisible Friday, y'all 🥳

Fun Philly strike update from a city worker: “the office of the mayor has changed their number to 215-686-2181 because of overwhelming calls in support of DC33.” Ring ring motherfucker!!!

🚨 For the first time since 1986, Philly’s AFSCME DC 33 is going on strike. The union represents thousands of blue collar city workers (including street pavers and sanitation workers) and is the city’s largest—and lowest paid—municipal workers union. The strike will begin at 12:01am on July 1st. 🚨

as someone who lives nextdoor to both supportive housing and public housing, i need people to understand that the best locations for both are going to be the central neighborhoods in a metropolitan area, where there is easy and reliable access to services and jobs.

Friends don’t let friends participate in AI “art” trends without giving them at least a little shit. If your friend had spinach in their teeth you’d tell them. This is the spinach-in-teeth of art. Also? AI art is BAD for the environment, in terms of energy use, water use, and other resources!!

I’ve come to the conclusion that the best case scenario is to have nearby neighbor volunteers “adopt” a seed dispersal station. If you live in Philadelphia and are willing to adopt a station, which involves checking it every day and refilling with seed packs (that I will provide), lmk.
