Until recently, the biggest impediment to straight women engaging in more casual sex, is straight men not being reliably good at sex.

Compare that to the opening scene of Spectre. Daniel Craig here is wearing Tom Ford, adjusted for him, no doubt, but still made according to the designer's vision, not Craig's body. Despite Craig doing less expressive movements, Craig's suit is fighting against him the entire time.

if you want to understand tailoring, you only need to watch mid-century movies, when actors were dressed by tailors, not brands. in the 1944 film cover girl, gene kelly's suit drapes beautifully, moving with him, not against him. collar stays on his neck, even as he dances.

You don't have to celebrate the High Holidays to get obsessed with this, my favorite challah to date. The leftovers, should any survive until the next day, make exceptional french toast. We like it with warmed honey and a dollop of ricotta.

The way the New Deal addressed the question of "deservingness" was by only extending benefits to white people. After the Civil Rights movement brought laws and court decisions that made this resource-hoarding illegal, "deservingness" has come again and again under the microscope.
