6 months later…one of our little guys came back to us. He flew into our garage where we had raised him and hopped on my husband’s hand. He hung out for several minutes. Just to let us know he was good. Then he flew away. For months he would hover by our face just to say hi.

We hand fed the babies mushed up worms every two hours. It was a THING. 😂

Years ago we found two baby hummingbirds in a nest. We watched the nest for hours, only to eventually realize that the mother was gone. So it was off to the races, and we did everything we could to raise the babies. We researched and called our vet and all the things.

I’m never getting over something that monumental having such a shameful lack of coverage beyond everything else.
