Bingo! Those consultants do not care if Talarico wins or loses, but they know they can make a lot of money selling him as the latest Great White Hope. They can't make money off Jasmine Crockett so she had to go. They need her campaigning for him to make as much money as possible.

White Consultants planned on using the Talerico campaign to experiment to see if they could move the needle without Black voters. They're now seeing that grand experiment is an utter failure which is why talarico is trying hard to reach Black voters last minute.

Honestly the article sounds like a public op to force Jasmine Crockett into campaigning for James Talarico.

Talarico winning or losing in Texas should not be placed on Crockett's shoulders. HE is going to have to get out there and make his sales pitch to the voters and sell them on his vision for Texas. Jasmine Crockett cannot do that for him. Do not outsource your Black outreach to Obama and fish frys

If you need Carol to help Bob with his job but you didn't want Carol to be the face of the job you need to compensate Carol for the time she's taking from her own pursuits in order to help Bob.

Yes and that's why you hired Bob in the first place because you felt Bob would better suited to help the company grow. If you need Carol to grow the company's sales, then you should have hired Carol to do the job.

My takeaway from the article is everyone wants and needs to see Jasmine Crockett campaigning for and stumping for Talarico because if she doesn't it could signal to Black voters to stay home. He is doing the work to reach Black voters so SHE needs to do the work and campaign for him.
