I can never stress enough, over 14 years as a professional, shitty mspaint doodles were both ALWAYS a massive help, and damn near always paired with clients who were incredibly effective to work with/communicated clearly

When I did commissions, I collected the stickman sketches that commissioners gave me cos I loved them

if you do this when commissioning me I am kissing you in the mouth 💕

I have a customer that always does this and it’s so helpful to see their vision first, plus I love their stick figure drawings!

Any time I get an MSpaint drawing as part of commission reference I squee and kick my feet and tuck my hair behind my ear and save it so I can gaze upon it later and

wait this is a genius idea

As someone with adhd who sells art, not only do i find these doodles incredibly adoring but also, because adhd, this reads to me a lot better than trying to mentally process a paragraph of text

The reason why the sketchy drawing is better than AI reference are the economical choices made. The person only drew what was most important and nothing else which gives clear direction! Please do more of this!

Honestly both infinitely better than if some industrial theft machine spat out a shiny Frankensteinian abomination made of of the sum of the internet's stolen art.
