I listen to several British podcasts. Here is a thread of British English usage that I find strange as a speaker of American English. But first a quick side note. A lot of media in the USA (television, music, movies, podcasts) comes from elsewhere in the Anglosphere.

Local newspaper in Stjørdal has an article on "what's happening locally during Christmas." The main photo is the annual stjørdalsøl tasting at a cabin in the woods on the 26th. Note how many of them have knitted wrappers for their beer bottles so they won't get too cold.

Part of me is glad the story broke this way. If 60 Minutes had aired it as scheduled, it probably would never have been shared beyond 60 Minutes. Because Weiss pulled the story, it is now a major topic of national discussion.
