It's berry season and you have the tiniest friends. These critically endangered babies are Egyptian tortoises that hatched on July 4 and 6, 2026. Currently, our Egyptian tortoises are living behind the scenes in a warm and cozy habitat with lots of attention from their dedicated animal keepers.

Today was Baby Bird Leave Nest Day, apparently. Three separate instances of baby birds with wing feathers, hopping around on the ground. The last one was a baby kinglet, parent nearby, that the dipshit dog decided to grab. Hoping it's okay. I left it sheltered under a rosebush the parent was in.

Did a bunch of gardening today, which I usually do with my phone in my back pocket and an earbud in, listening to audiobooks. The Bluetooth goes 20-30 feet. Through walls. Appliances. So when I bend over and my butt is briefly between phone and earbud and it disconnects, CONSISTENTLY... Rude.
