This is wholly correct. In general I think Doctor Who fans tend to pathologise “problems for all TV” as “problems of the show”. Challenge for it now is “there are no family shows anymore”.

I think people are right that Doctor Who shouldn't be written by fans, like the disastrous Christopher Eccleston season. Instead it should be written by people who hate the series.
