Another reason is that having your subscribes public is great for those you subscribe to! There's lots of really cool discovery and social features that are possible with this! Not to mention just the feedback of knowing people are subscribed to what you put out.

Started prototyping a cross platform SwiftUI app for publishing and subscribing to @standard.site publications.

We’ve expanded the max length and grapheme limits across a variety of properties for broader support.

i finished setting up my blog that publishes to the atmosphere with @standard.site lexicons! it was so easy using sequoia from @stevedylan.dev! there's still a lot of improvements to make and rn its just some CTF writeups, but I plan to do more with it in the future

Inspired by some posts I saw recently about @standard.site I wondered if I could use this as a source for a SSG to effectively replace Hugo for generating my blog. Well, it turns out that was pretty straightforward.

I just setup stordahl.dev to publish using the standard.site lexicon in under 10 minutes using Sequoia 🤯 I've been wanting to integrate my blog with the Atmosphere for a while, and Sequoia made it so easy, I actually did it! Now I need to actually finish this blog post.....

Standard.site is the first time I've strongly felt the community governance & coordination challenge because it inverts the decision model. Typically, lexicons are decided by the originating app. For publishing site content, it's the inverse: individual users are deciding their lexicons.

New toy for @standard.site enjoyers - a little search engine for all posts: standard-search.octet-stream.net It indexes (in priority order) "textContent", "content" if it can make sense of it, or the text of the linked HTML page. At this moment it's still working through the verification backlog.

Big win for longform social publishing on atproto, @leaflet.pub has started creating @standard.site document records. I can't wait to see where this year takes the ecosystem and atmosphere 🤩

This is *huge* A while back, I was concerned about ATProto platforms using different lexicons diverging and fragmenting the space, but the long-formers (@leaflet.pub @pckt.blog @offprint.app) are setting an incredible example of how to build together 👏🏼 More of this, please!
