I have some congresspeople who follow me, so I'll just throw this out there: As a taxpayer, I would actually prefer that you *not* continue to fund the fascist military machine that is being used to kill and kidnap people from our communities.

At least 33 people have died in ICE custody in the last year. 2 US citizens were shot and killed by ICE officers in just the last two weeks. Up to 4000 people detained by ICE are unaccounted for. If what ICE was doing was legal, they wouldn’t be lying to protect them from accountability.

I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building. Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained. The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.

There is video of the shooting of a woman by ICE in Minneapolis circulating that shows an ICE agent repeatedly shooting her at point blank range while she tries to drive off. There was no obvious threat to any ICE agent.

I’ve seen the video so I’ll save you the watch: ICE was never in danger. They shot at the victim on a residential street for attempting to drive away. There was no riot. There were a handful of bystanders. Barely enough for a book club.
