The Stamford Board of Education voted 8‑1 to end its “flexible” high school schedule after months of parent, student, & teacher pushback. Now that the district is reverting back to its old schedule, they'll have to hire 30-ish additional teachers. Congratulations to everyone who fought for this!

“Foreign influence” is one of the most dangerous phrases in U.S. education history. It’s been used for decades to justify surveillance, firings, and ideological purges (usually based on exaggeration or straight up lies.) Now the surveillance system is being built by Palantir. Yikes.

Palantir (the surveillance contractor used by ICE & the Pentagon) is now embedded inside the U.S. Dept of Education. They are building the new “foreign funding” reporting portal for universities. They will be awarded up to $61.8M total to do this.

One thing that strikes me about MAGAts is the way they cannot just be haters like normal human beings. They have to word vomit every slur they know and threaten to rape and/or kill you. It’s like middle school boys trying to be edgy.

The Trump regime is turning public education into workforce training, & they’re trying to be sneaky about it. But when we look at these policies together (the earnings test where trade certificates are exempt, pushing K–12 kids into trades, & moving Title I to the Department of Labor), it’s clear.

Capitalism is every issue.
