Chanced upon the nearly-unobtainable Ravens ‘30 Seasons’ hat this afternoon, while passing through a sidewalk clothing market in Hampden. Spotted it from about 15–20’ away. The vendor who had it was cool. We had a nice interaction, struck a deal, and the hat came home with me. Beyond thrilled.

The massive train garden at Kenilworth Bazaar remains a core childhood memory. I’m glad that it still exists in some form.

Very cool. The Federal League Baltimore Terrapins had a famous Indigenous pitcher on their roster in 1915. Charles Albert Bender, otherwise known as “Chief Bender” (!) Tho’ better known as a member of the Philᵃ Athletics, I think it’s neat that he played in Baltimore. HOF Class of 1953, to boot.

I took my dad to Ravens games on Thanksgiving Night in 2011 and 2013. Both were highly memorable. (And both times the Ravens won.) Really feeling for all the folks who sat through tonight’s game—especially in the bitter cold! Y’all deserved a better outcome.

Literally two nights ago I saw someone on N. Charles Street, just drop his still-lit cigarette to the ground, before walking into a convenience store. I couldn’t believe how careless it was. He didn’t even attempt to step on it to put it out. Probs almost EXACTLY how the Great Fire of 1904 started.
