Ever since I lost my dad a month ago I just can't stop thinking about him and crying. Listening to his itunes playlist on his phone helps, makes me smile. I always loved how my dad was not a Prince fan but the only song he loved from Prince that he has on his playlist is "Baby, I'm A Star." ✨

Just saw Wicked: For Good. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It had major pacing and plotting issues that sucked the energy and concentration out of the whole thing, and it was emotionally stifling. To sum it up for me anyway, I was underwhelmed, but at least I saw it.

She was a veteran of the Stonewall rebellion and a lifelong organizer for the safety and dignity of trans people, sex workers, and the incarcerated. She came from the same generation and milieu as Marsha and Sylvia. She was 78.

Alright I need a short story break before I dive back into another gargantuan anthology, so let's read one of the oldest transfemme books I'm aware of! Autobiography of an Androgyne is one of the earliest "trans memoirs," published a solid 15 years before the commonly cited 'first' trans memoir.

This is one of the reasons I've started writing a review of every book I read - to maintain some of my thoughts for posterity. I'm a terrible notetaker unfortunately. I also have a spreadsheet of every transfemme book I've ever read, though it's usually a solid few weeks behind my current reading.
