I feel like there's a lot of people who post like they are the supervisors/intelligentsia of the Revolution and other people are the footsoldiers, and they are very disappointed in the footsoldiers for not doing enough even though they aren't doing anything except complaining online.

I am attempting to read a popular contemporary novel, as I often do when I wish to know the shape of the times, and the style is so weird to me. Like, it is an adult novel, and the sentences are written on an adult level, but the moment-to-moment rhythms and structural schema are very YA.

I am pretty agnostic about "difficulty" discourse in video games, as the vast majority of my video gaming is playing games I Iiked in the 90s, but sometimes people bring that energy into the literature space and I am filled with a righteous fury. Difficult books are good actually.

I often think people overfocus on HP, which I think is mostly just mid for what it is, and ignore her adult writing, which is legit dreck. But then again, to criticize her adult writing you would have to read it, a fate I would not wish upon anyone.
