Quick look into Sektori Steam stats. 3700 wishlists, about +10 per day. Going to release at about half of minimum goal. Currently on my release day, 38 games are set for release. I'm 13th in stats. Weekly, I'm 85th out of 232. So no Steam visibility incoming. Tough business this.

To all who still only dream of making indiegames! Just do it! Of the endless people who've told me they're going quit and start making games, none have ever done so. As a result they're happier, healthier, wealthier and live a much more balanced life in general. Oh wait, what was my point again?

It tickles me that someone that's received a review key for Sektori has apparently used theirs to let SteamDB have one. I'm too scared to go look if it's already on pirate sites too.

Art drawn by people who very rarely make art and think they are “bad at art” is 1000x cooler than AI art. It’s life-affirming. It’s often unexpected. I cannot overemphasize how much I love when people just go for it. You do not need the machine for this human endeavor.

Sektori (week 210): Pretty much nothing happening. Just waiting for things that are not in my control. Setting up tiny things and procrastinating. Should probably figure out something useful to do regardless.

There is a future where you don't post things online and when you do perform/exhibit it's stricly enforced that there's no electronics in the audience because AI will steal it in a nanosecond and make it its own.

Sektori (week 209): Console B hit a (non-tech) snag, let's see what happens. I wish could be more open, but NDA. Console A is 100% ready to go. Steam needs achievements and it's done. I've never been anywhere near this stressed about a game release and I've been making games for quite a while.

Insomniac is perhaps my favourite developer, but I'm pretty bummed they went for ultra violence on their next game. I really really don't want to see those mutilation animations hundreds of times while playing. I guess I'm getting old.

I just paid €32.49 to NOT upgrade my operating system. Which is a first. Apps should offer me options to NOT show AI on the UI or in general NOT enshittificate everything. I'd pay.

My task today is to wait for people to wake up on the other side of the world. My least favourite kind of work task.
