I love stuff. I don't mind things in general, little odds and ends. I'm not a minimalist at all, I even find a little clutter soothing. I'm not into hoarding, but you know what mean. Stuff is fun, I do a lot of thrifting and antiquing. But holy moly getting RID of stuff? So damned satisfying.

I got some rest, spent time with the kids, did a ton of decluttering and cleaning around the house, read a bunch, played some great poker, and helped my oldest son with a watch. Literally just about all I want out of life TBH

A lot of these changes in my thinking came from a recent, long conversation with good friends about how bad things are and I said voting won't help. And they asked what WOULD help. And as I listed things I realized with a little horror that I'm currently doing very few of them. If any.

My basement has been a shame task for a long time and today the kids and I attacked it, swept everything up, vacuumed, mopped, I'm working on a few plumbing issues around the washing machine and dryer, and making progress. It's not about perfection, it's about progress.

All joking aside, I'm not sure how to feel about the season finale of the Pitt. I thought the episodes leading up to it were much stronger. I felt like they didn't quite know how to land the plane, although the episode was filled with some really great scenes.
