This is powerful truth, applicable to every artform -- painting, photography, music, film, whatever. It's not just license to indulge in what you, personally, find aesthetically pleasing, it's an outright demand that you do so in pursuit of the legitimacy of your own artistic vision.

There are a couple of endgame dialogs that very very few people will ever see (bc Qud is Qud) that are honestly just breathtaking. I had a hard time going thru the ending the first time because it’s one of the few times a game asks you to like, READ read, and I was so excited to see how it ended lol

I don’t talk about it much because the situation doesn’t really change but it’s still insane to me what an enormous amount of really talented game developers are out of work. just whole studios worth of incredible people, often people who worked on beloved games, unemployed.

i will say few things suck more than not being able to play with your friend who plays the same multiplayer game or bond over talking about about game you'd both love to play just because you happened to buy different consoles years ago i'm very pro non-exclusivity
