If you’re lucky, you have books or authors that are comfort reads. Books that you’ve read more times than you can count, but are always there when you need them. Tonight I needed that feeling of an old friend, and so I picked up Bones of the moon by Jonathan Carroll. Such a lovely story. #booksky

In the last week I’ve watched Reds and Doctor Zhivago. I very much preferred Doctor Zhivago.

You know what would be interesting? A collaboration between Bob Dylan and Eminem.

I’m currently reading a collection of columns by Jimmy Breslin, and I have to say that man that guy could write. I wish he had been syndicated so I could have read him at the time he was writing them. #booksky

Katabasis by RF Kuang arrived today, easily my favorite novel of hers. Goes on the shelf next to Dante and Larry Niven. Highly recommended. #booksky

The other week I was halfway across the city, not near the store at all, and someone said “Aren’t you the history guy at Green Apple? “ and thanked me for a recommendation. I guess I’m a real book seller now.
