We're now at about eight hours since Iran released photos appearing to show a downed F-15, plus reports of an active search and rescue operation. Donald Trump is awake and posting on Truth Social, but neither he nor the Pentagon has said anything about it.

Tansim, a news agency affiliated with the IRGC has published an "unconfirmed account" that the US military attempted to rescue the pilot (sic) but some say the pilot was instead captured by Iranian forces. If even Tansim says it's unconfirmed I'd handle with care.

It's been more than 5 hours since Iran released pictures of the debris of a US fighter jet, apparently an F-15 out of Lekenheath downed over central Iran, and still no comment out of CENTCOM. You can't do war comms like this in 2026.

Someone in CENTCOM must be thinking the same. There's a crazy amount of footage of MQ-9s, fighters, CSAR HC-130s and HH-60Ws over Iran the last hour or so. The kind of equipment one would need for searching for downed air crew. Incredibly dangerous moment for these pilots.
