So as I mentioned on Christmas Day, I received a duplicate (actually triplicate) book from my brother (who had bought me the other two copies). So did any of you lovely people get a duplicate book for Christmas and if so, would you like to swap it for 'The Island of Missing Trees' by Elif Shafak?

How I'm walking out of 2025

Ugh. I promised myself I'd get a new mobile in the boxing day sales but the mere thought of looking for one fills me with despair. I'd actually rather stick with my phone that randomly crashes when I travel outside of my town than try to figure out what the best replacement would be.

I feel it is important that we honor British film pioneer George Albert Smith. Yes, he helped pioneer editing, closeups, science fiction films, etc. but I think we can all agree that his greatest contribution was as an early trailblazer in the Cat Video genre.
