UK folks may remember those 1980s era public information films they liked to traumatise us with in school. There was one with a frisbee and a substation that has left me with such a lifelong fear of electricity that I will *never* attempt to DIY this. ⚡️⚡️💀 (I genuinely won't even lick batteries)

OK I know I you all enjoy a little frisson from a 9V battery but have you heard about old disposable cameras with a flash? Those are *spicy*. Dodgy websites tell you how to make tasers out of them spicy. DO NOT LICK. I have some here that I am too feart to dismantle to harvest the film

Update: OK, still this post, but the sample of professors in my orbit and Bluesky today suggests their primary source of excitement in life is in fact licking 9v batteries

Once, at the Electric Eclectics Festival in Meaford Ont. someone was selling 9v batteries with copper wires soldered to them, and dipped in chocolate. They were called "Shock-Licks". Of course I bought one.

Based on many comments I'm thinking an OM2n to get the added aperture priority ...and I'll send the much-loved OM1n off for a CLA / new light seals / general going over and maybe get it adjusted to take 1.5V batteries Next question: who would you recommend for servicing/repairing Olys? (UK)
