“slop” is such a good and useful word in media discourse. AI slop, corporate slop, influencer slop, etc. Unfortunately we probably only have about 3-6 months before it gets misused to the point that it loses all meaning, but until then, enjoy it

not sure how to square ‘no one person can be reasonably expected to pay for every media subscription’ with ‘sorely underpaid writers need to make a living’ but my inclination is not to locate that problem with any of the broke ass people on either end of the complaint

Right on reds are the most dangerous thing for pedestrians and drivers. They should all be made illegal. Pedestrians should have one moment in the light cycle for people to cross in any direction with no cars in the intersection (a scramble intersection). It works like a dream in Quebec City.

Maybe I’m being overly sensitive but I don’t like how many bands have been sharing “North American tour” posters with a list of cities that are all in the U.S., especially during a year when Trump has repeatedly threatened Canadian sovereignty

Stupid thing to complain about but I don’t want the deluxe edition in my library. I don’t want Siri to play the deluxe edition by default. I want to listen to the original album with its normal beginning and end and see the original artwork not the weird version. Normalize regular editions!!!
