right - when you get to the actual meat of the show, when the plot is really moving, those filler moments can really deepen your enjoyment because you feel like you know these characters and how they react to things

this is a good take well done filler episodes can really develop character dynamics and get you deeply attached to the cast - I feel like a lot of "comfort watch" shows come out of that, where you just end up happy to spend more time with your favorite characters
